Magic Morocco

 

It is the first day of a new year, 2013 and yet 2012 already feels ages ago. A year ago to this date things were not so well but then halfway through the year my life improved immensely. Amongst the best positives of 2012 were a new job, new friends, a place on Lake Shore Drive and travel. For two weeks in December I was able to explore Morocco, which was incredible. The colors, the hospitality, the landscapes, the arts, everything was just so surreal. It was a rough trip because we kept moving around from city to city, and I did lose my favorite pair of pants somewhere in Morocco but… I got to see a shooting star, ride a camel, sleep in the middle of a desert, hang out with artsy Moroccans, substitute a taxi with a horse carriage, learn Moroccan Arabic, bargain in the medinas,and I would do it all over again If I could. I did also get to visit Paris and Madrid but more on that later.
